Our Story
The Band of Pride has been a part of the Louisiana Tech University family since 1906. Since then, band members have been leaders in the gameday experience and have created and maintained traditions at Louisiana Tech®. For years the Alumni Band was organized as group that would return to campus to rejoin in maintaining the legacy. In 2026 the Alumni Band officially gained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Our Mission
The Band of Pride Alumni Club exists to connect former members to one another and to the Louisiana Tech University Band of Pride. We seek to strengthen the ties among alumni, the community, and the university, and support the Band of Pride and Louisiana Tech's broader educational mission through helping to recruit, promote, and fund the students who will carry the tradition forward.
Our Goals
- Support the activities of Louisiana Tech University toward the realization of its educational mission in every way possible.
- Establish and promote goals and club programs that strengthen the ties among members of the club, the community, and the university.
- Unite those persons who have an interest in the Louisiana Tech University Bands.
- Assist the Louisiana Tech University Bands with student recruitment by promoting the university's excellence within the local community and offering scholarships for students who will be enrolled in the Louisiana Tech University Bands.
